I just bought a Motorola V710 to replace my Motorola T720. The T720 has served me well after all the drops, throws and general abuse. After two years, it was time for a replacement.

The V710 has a 1.2 megapixel camera and has a really nice display. 28 hours after buying the thing, I figured out how to get porn on to it from my PC. I'm such a perv. :-)

Bratty children are a pet peeve of mine. I have many pet peeves. This happens to be one of the most annoying.

All children are bratty to some extent at some point or another. This behaviour, though, isn't something that should be tolerated or encouraged.

After work today, I stopped off at the grocery store. My neighborhood is very diverse and the shopping population in this particular store consists mainly of queers, hispanics and white trash. Today's encounter was with a white trash brat.

As I turned on to the aisle with all the chips, cookies and crap that'll make you die faster, I hear a little cherub (*snort*) shrieking "MOM! MOM! MOM! MOM!" Oh joy. Mommy and daddy were checking out which brand of ruffled potato chips were the cheapest and deciding which Hefty sack full of them to buy. The brat, about three years old, was sitting in the grocery cart. After about a minute of this "MOM! MOM! MOM!" shit, the brat screamed "MOMMY IS STUPID!" and punched his mom on the arm. What did mom do? Stepped away from the cart so he couldn't reach her. What did dad do? He continued to decide whether he wanted to involuntarily shit himself inside out from eating Olestra or whether he wanted to clog his arteries with fat. In other words, not a fucking thing. Now the kid pointed at the jars of peanuts and started screaming "I WANT THIS! I WANT THIS!" and kept it up while his parents started to wheel his ass around toward the end of the aisle. Mommy gave in to the brat and said "You want peanuts?" The kid yelled "NO!" Mommy picked up the jar of peanuts and said "Do you want these?" This time, bratty dearest yelled "YES!" Great. So the little shit didn't even know what he wanted, he just wanted some attention.

I happened to be done shopping and they started unloading their groceries on the register next to me. The kid was now pitching a fit about how he wanted to walk instead of sitting in the cart.

Not once during this whole procedure did his mom or dad discipline him in any way. In fact, his dad didn't say a damn word and barely even looked at the kid once.

This is the future of America. Gaia help us.

I know there will be many parents out there who say "I'll bet you're not a parent! You don't know how hard it is!" Well, you're right. I'm not a parent. Regardless, I do know what bratty behaviour is, I do know it's inappropriate and I do know that continued bratty behaviour is a result of your piss poor parenting.
